Exhibiting at a study fair is a fantastic way to get your PhD and Masters opportunities in front of prospective students! You can pitch your courses to the as-of-yet undecided and walk away with hundreds of high-quality leads.
If you’re planning to exhibit at one of our study fairs, it’s important to be prepared. With over 10 years’ experience of putting on events, we’ve learned a thing or two about what makes a successful day for our exhibitors – and a lot of it comes down to the prep work! We’ve outlined some steps you can take before the event that will help you get the most out of the day.
It may sound obvious, but making sure everyone is up to speed on event-day practicalities is essential (and easily forgotten!). We share everything you need to know about locations, timings, travel and more with the lead booker on our exhibitor hub in advance of all our fairs. If you have a question, there’s a good chance it will be answered there.
It’s also important to fill us in on everything we need to know about you! Your exhibitor requirements will let our Events Team know how many reps you’re bringing and if they have any dietary requirements, so remember to submit this on time so that we can cater to all your needs.
If there’s one thing that can be relied upon to fail at the most inopportune moments, it’s technology. But some easy preparation can help you get out ahead of this, and save you last-minute stress.
Possibly the most invaluable piece of advice we could give you is to download FAUScan, our lead-capturing app, before you arrive. This is essential if you’ll be using a university-owned device, as these often require passwords to download new applications – don’t be caught out!
The more attendees that know you’ll be exhibiting, the more traffic you’re likely to get to your stand. We provide assets for all our exhibitors which you can post on social media to let prospective students know they can visit your stand for in-person advice. We always find the stands of those who have also been speaking during the talks programme are popular because prospective students can put a face to your university, so creating a brand buzz before the event is essential!
We encourage you to bring as many prospectuses, tote bags, pens, badges or branded rubber ducks as your heart desires – freebies are always a major hit with students.
But make sure you’ve taken care of the boring bits! Remember to let our Events Team know which courier service you’ll be using to deliver and collect your materials and when they’ll be arriving. It’s also important to clearly label all of your boxes – the bigger the writing (and the thicker the pen), the better. To make the process easier, you can also book the inclusive courier service run by our Events Team.
