2024 Wrapped: Reflections, Resilience and Results at FindAUniversity

As 2024 draws to a close, we’ve seen the higher education sector face significant challenges - from global political shifts and inflation to the increasing difficulty of capturing attention and reaching new audiences. Yet, despite this, there have also been opportunities. At FindAUniversity (FAU), we’ve risen to the challenge, supporting our clients by enhancing our core offerings and innovating to deliver even more value.

Adapting and growing in new markets

This year, we’ve focused on expanding into new territories, growing audiences in stable recruitment markets and exploring emerging ones. Our platforms saw a 25% increase in engagement in 2024, and we have ambitious plans to build on this momentum in 2025.

We’ve also enhanced key offerings to maximise value for our clients:

  • Postgrad LIVE events: These have seen record attendance, connecting more students and universities face-to-face. We’re looking forward to bringing our events to Edinburgh, Liverpool, Cardiff, Birmingham and London in February 2025!
  • Enhanced Institution and Department Profiles: Helping universities stand out and attract targeted audiences more effectively, our enhanced profiles are delivering impressive results for our clients.

Innovating to support our clients

In a constantly changing world, we’ve invested in tools that make connecting with students easier and more efficient:

  • Open Day tool: Simplifying the student journey to find the right opportunities.
  • Connect for Events: Enhancing engagement between students and universities at our Postgrad LIVE events.
  • Supervisor Search: Facilitating better-informed postgraduate decisions.
  • AI-Powered Content tools: Reducing workload while creating more valuable content.

This year, we’ve focused on simplifying our offerings and delivering more value to universities. We’ve seen strong results from our advertising packages in our international markets, and in 2025, we’ll be bringing these solutions to the UK market.

We know that in a challenging environment, people are the key to success. At FAU, we’re proud of the resilience, adaptability and creativity our team has shown in 2024. They’ve risen to every challenge and their dedication has driven our growth and success.

This year, we’ve prioritised:

  • Flexible working: supporting our team to work in ways that help them thrive.
  • Quality time together: Through team days, workshops, training sessions and, of course, our FAU Christmas party (always a highlight!).
  • Professional development: Our teams have benefited from training courses, events and conferences and we’ve delivered our own Postgraduate Marketing Conferences, which saw record engagement this year. Watch this space for an even bigger 2025 edition with a new name and look and feel!
  • Collaboration across our group: We’re especially proud to see more FAU team members stepping into roles across Tech, Data, Insight and Performance Marketing. Their contributions are making an impact beyond FAU, enriching our work with new perspectives and opportunities.
